About me

I had a private practice in London for more than 25 years during which EFT became the main focus of my work. I and am now based in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.    Although EFT became my major modality, I used it interwoven with an eclectic mixture of therapy tools drawing on my trainings in psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) , as well as EFT.  I also added into the mix Mindfulness Meditation Practices and recent findings from Neuroscience which are helping us to understand more about how our brains function.

I did my EFT advanced level training in a small group with its founder, Gary Craig in 2003 and in 2006 I was awarded the right to use the designation EFT Master when I graduated from his rigorous testing programme – one of only 29 people worldwide to do so before he closed the programme.

I devised and taught an approved diploma course in clinical hypnosis and taught a number of other therapy skills to other trainee therapists.  I  qualified to supervise other therapists and  to offer courses in EFT  for people who wanted to learn to use it better for themselves and for those  who want to incorporate it into their therapy work or become EFT practitioners, and also to train other trainers.

My focus has now shifted to writing and speaking about EFT. I am no longer seeing clients or teaching and mentor only a small number of therapists.

Over the last few years I  presented on EFT at conferences in the US, in Europe and in Australia as well as in the UK and  organized two EFT International Masterclasses in London.  I also write extensively on tapping and its applications and my book  Tap here to transform your lifeA practical guide to EFT (previously titled  Introduction to EFT – a Practical Guide) is published by Icon and available from bookshops and from Amazon.

My qualifications include:

  • EFT Founding Master (one of 29 worldwide)

  • Accredited master  trainer of trainers for the EFTInternational (previously known as the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Therapies (AAMET) International

EFT Founding Master
The EFT Masters programme was set up by EFT founder Gary Craig and was open only to people who had used EFT for several years, had used it with a wide range of clients and problems, and had successfully completed a most rigorous programme of training and examination. It was awarded to only 29 people worldwide, before Gary withdrew from the programme and handed it over to the founding masters themselves to run from November 2007.
Other training
I did practitioner and teacher training in TAT with its founder, Tapas Fleming. I have completed Level l and Level 2 EMDR training as well as EMDR specialist courses including Phantom Limb Pain and Road Traffic Accidents. I have been trained as a coach by the Hanover Foundation and have done additional hypnosis training for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and other gut disorders and in preparing for painless childbirth.
Recently I have been extending my interest in how neuroscience can inform what makes therapy sense by studying with Dan Siegel and a number of other leaders in this field.  And I have been looking into Mindfulness as a useful adjunct to other therapy. I have completed a course on Mindfulness and Pychotherapy with Ron Siegel.
