Training in EFT

If you are considering training in EFT, to become an EFT Practitioner or to add EFT to your existing therapy practice, there are a number of questions you will want to ask yourself when you are choosing your trainer.

How much experience has a trainer had?

I have been training therapists for more than 20 years and teaching them EFT for more than ten. I was one of the first people in the UK to start teaching EFT. Before that I devised and taught an approved hypnotherapy course and taught hypnosis and other topics on a psychotherapy course.

How much does your trainer know about the subject?

Being an EFT Founding Master means that I was one of only 29 people worldwide who passed EFT Founder Gary Craig’s stringent assessment of our work and our knowledge in a programme that he ran for several years when he wanted to find the EFT practitioners he could recommend as real experts.  I also did my own advanced training in a group of only 15 people with Gary Craig. Very few people have had such an opportunity.

Does a trainer have experience of running a successful practice of her own?

I have had a therapy practice in London for more than 20 years. I think this is important both because I can share with students a lot of my actual experience with real clients and because I know a lot about setting up a practice.

Do they have good testimonials from previous students?

I do. You can have a look if you click here.

What qualifications and accreditations does a trainer have?

Besides being an EFT Founding Master, I have an advanced diploma in Psychotherapy and hypnosis, a diploma in clinical hypnosis, EMDR training, a degree in psychology and I am accredited by AAMET International, the lead body for energy therapy regulation and standards in the UK as a Master Trainer and Master Trainer of Trainers.  I am a member of the AAMET executive and of its Ethics committee.

Does the trainer offer ongoing support?

I offer people who train with me the opportunity to do mentoring in a group via Skype once a month, or individually fact-to-face or by telephone or Skype. Since I relocatee from London to Australia mentoring continued to be available in the UK time with Richard Mark with whom I trained  and who is an exceptionally skilled and supportive supervisor.  You can contact him on info@eft-academy.co.uk.  I will, of course, continue to be available on Australian time.

What else has this trainer done?

I have presented on EFT Worldwide, run and presented big EFT International Masterclasses in London and presented at others in Manchester and in Yorkshire, and have written a book Introducing EFT – a Practical Guide, published by Icon Books and available in paperback and on Kindle.
